2026 Lakeshore Cleanup is a Wrap, and BOY was it a success!
Check out our video to look at some of the cleanup efforts across the entire lake. We are grateful to the Army Corps of Engineers for organizing, and all the very generous marinas and businesses for donating boats, supplies and time.

Pick your favorite spot, shoreline, trails, or open water, and run your own clean-up crew. Grab some friends, pick a stretch of lake, and get after it! Only do this if you have the means, access, and materials to do it safely.

Star Point Resort has kindly donated boats and trash bags to help clear the lake, and they're inviting everyone to come along. Join a fun, and enthusiastic group hitting the water by meeting at Star Point Church at 8:30 AM to join their crew. A big shoutout to Obey River Outfitters for offering free kayak use to volunteers this year! They're focusing efforts at Hendricks Creek, and Hendricks Creek has generously waived the parking fee for the day. If kayaks remain afterward, extra pickup is available at their new site off TN 53 near Joe Stone Road. Call 270-945-4681 for directions and registration (a refundable security deposit applies to kayak pickup).

Here's our thank-you for pitching in. Every participant will receive a fee-free day-use coupon, good at Pleasant Grove, Obey River, or Lillydale Day-Use Areas.
