Ready to make a splash for Dale Hollow Lake? Whether you're a boater, hiker, or shoreline walker, this is your chance to help keep our public lands beautiful, healthy, and thriving, for everyone who loves this lake as much as we do.
Date: September 26, 2026 | Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Location: Dale Hollow Lake
Pick your favorite spot, shoreline, trails, or open water, and run your own clean-up crew. Grab some friends, pick a stretch of lake, and get after it! Only do this if you have the means, access, and materials to do it safely.
Prefer to team up? Friends of Dale Hollow Lake will be out on boats clearing debris from the water, and we'd love to have you along. Star Point Resort also organized groups hitting the water, and welcomes everyone to join. Scout troops and other local organizations are also welcome to lead their own shoreline crews around campgrounds and trails.
Want to join our boat crew, or need help connecting with a group? Reach out to us directly on Facebook. We'll get you plugged in!
Drop off collected trash at the Pleasant Grove ramp. Need a different drop-off spot? Coordinate directly with Desmaray at desmaray.a.brown@usace.army.mil.
Here's our thank-you for pitching in. Every participant will receive a fee-free day-use coupon, good at Pleasant Grove, Obey River, or Lillydale Day-Use Areas.
To claim yours: After your clean-up, email Ranger Desmaray at desmaray.a.brown@usace.army.mil with:

Total service hours
Photos of your group and your haul
Example: "We had a group of 4, and we cleaned up trash at Gunnels Camp for 3 hours each (12 total service hours). Attached are some photos of our haul!"
We want to see what you found out there. Tag Friends of Dale Hollow Lake on Facebook with photos of your group and your haul. The bigger, the weirder, the better!
